Most of the folks around don't seem to have any particular interest in interacting with Hajime, though they're cheerful on the whole. Most of them are younger and quite a few of them are dressed as punks, bikers, and other violent-reputationed subcultures. Costumes don't seem to be that big of a thing in this group, though masquerade-style masks are pretty common. A blond woman of about thirty-five, with a frankly massive man on her arm, gives him a flirtatious wink, though.
