There's no indication that Hajime's heard anything weird. He'll make his way to that table, and he'll even try to make pleasant, albeit somewhat awkward, conversation with anyone who tries. (He will not, however, make any move to initiate conversation on his own.) Nothing to see here but a shy human, clearly.
