Trying to talk them down or find someone who can is why you get the person who is local to the area, really. She could probably defend herself well enough in a pinch, at least enough to secure an escape, but... well, who knows. People here are strange, with strange abilities.

"What kinds of people are there?" She gestures with her hand, trying for a moment to just convey what she means with waving a hand before offering, by way of a half-explanation of what she's asking: "Or are they mostly mundane?"
