The words in the park are curious, and so Malin has decided to investigate them. First, she went looking like a human, but then she figured that what she can do in observation - limited to the nights, that is - she can better do in a shape where people won't think that she is a person trying to spy on them.
So she tried to change into fox form.
Which wasn't a fox anymore, and when the panic about what the hell has happened died down and she found herself crammed into a small space between a few garbage cans and paper boxes, she realized that she didn't only look wrong.
There was someone breathing heavily next to her. After scrambling to her feet and knocking over a few of the bins, causing a ruckus, she stood there and realized - no, there was nobody around.
She was breathing pretty labouredly, and her heart was beating fast on top.
The first of which shouldn't be a result of running and the second of which shouldn't even be possible.
Anyone coming into the alleyway to investigate the ruckus will find a very confused wolf that is barely paying attention to her surroundings right now just standing there, staring ahead. She doesn't look that impressive as wolves go, a bit shabby and dirty and too-thin, but there's no question that she's nothing else.
Some time later
Said wolf will, some hours later, use the dead of 3:30am to slink home, keeping to the shadows and trying to stay unseen, until she comes to Corwin's door where she'll have to get out in the open to scratch at it, hoping that he will hear it.
She technically could change out of it at any time. Probably. But considering this place... she isn't certain what else might happen, and so she is too chicken to attempt it.
...And, if she is honest, it is really, really nice to feel alive again and she's not sure if she'll ever get to feel it again, so she wants to stay like this a bit longer.
ota, obviously nighttime
