She can't quite see how it's different right now, political and social occasion aside (but if you have no money...) but perhaps if she attended such a thing she would know. As far as she is concerned, as soon as someone is dead and you are certain that they're dead, they're gone from it. The body is just... not important anymore. At the slim chance that they're still around somewhere, it won't be in there (specifically, they might still be in the matrix, though she's only met one such case).
